Eric Biegel

Eric Biegel, a highly skilled mechanical engineer with a degree from the ABET-accredited State University of New York Maritime College, began his professional journey at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), where he worked from 2016 to 2021. Specializing in 3D modeling and packaging engineering, Eric demonstrated his expertise by leading the mechanical design for the Wave Glider Low Cost Telemetry project. Notable achievements include the successful design, manufacturing, and testing of critical payloads integral to Wave Glider functionality, contributing significantly to multiple Navy field tests. Eric’s adept technical problem-solving and effective leadership at APL carry over to his current role at Heliguard, where with his CAP 437 training and expertise he plays a crucial role in advancing helideck safety within the offshore industry.

Mike Spadavecchia

Mike Spadavecchia is a highly motivated entrepreneur with 3+ years experience managing small business incubators and 2+ years as a successful founding partner at the company Sylf. He is a data-driven leader with a real passion for increasing operational efficiency and ensuring the accuracy of data systems during critical product growth stages. Mike has exemplified his devotion to business development by facilitating a 700% increase in entrepreneurship activity at the Wayne House Incubator at the University of Scranton where he received his bachelor’s in Entrepreneurship. Most recently working in the data department of President Container Group, one of the largest privately owned manufacturers of correlated packaging materials, Mike was responsible for verifying the accuracy of over $300k in daily accounts as well as all direct inventory expenses. Some notable achievements include partnering with members of the SBDC to develop comprehensive business plans, participating as a finalist in the annual tech bridge pitch competition, and taking part in over 100 investor pitch meetings where he discussed macro quantifiable business objectives and specific timelines for multifaceted development processes.
